GWADAR, October 14, 2026: The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of the University of Gwadar, in collaboration with Dastak-e-Zeest, organized a seminar titled “Beyond the Classroom: Intellectual Development, Effective Guidance and Purposeful Education” at Mir Ahmad Bakhsh Auditorium, PCTVI. The seminar was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, University of Gwadar, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, while **Assistant Commissioner Gwadar Romail Naeem Jan** attended as the Chief Guest and Mir Arshid Kalmati participated as the Guest of Honour. The seminar aimed to extend education beyond the conventional boundaries of the classroom by promoting students’ intellectual, social, and practical development, effective guidance, and meaningful learning opportunities. The first session featured a panel discussion moderated by Granaz Hoth. The panel included social leader Mir Arshid Kalmati, Head of Campus at Indus Hospital Dr. Nasir Sheikh, educationist Bilquees Suleman , and clinical psychologist Fozia Zulfiqar. The panellists shared their perspectives on various important aspects of education, guidance, mental and social development, and the role of educational institutions in shaping students’ futures. Following the panel discussion, an interactive question-and-answer session was held, during which participants actively engaged with the panellists and raised questions on the topics under discussion. On the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Gwadar Romail Naeem Jan delivered a detailed address, highlighting various dimensions of the seminar’s theme. He emphasized the importance of education, youth guidance, and constructive contributions towards social development. Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir appreciated the initiative and commended the organizers for bringing together representatives of the educational and social sectors on a common platform. He thanked the organizers, distinguished guests, panellists, and participants, while emphasizing the importance of such activities in promoting education, effective guidance, and mutual cooperation. At the conclusion of the event, Mir Arshid Kalmati, Chairman of the Mir Abdul Ghafoor Welfare Foundation, presented commemorative souvenirs to faculty members of the University of Gwadar. The organizers also presented honorary shields to the panellists in recognition of their participation and contributions. The seminar was attended by the Registrar of the University of Gwadar, Dr. Dolat Khan, deans of the university’s faculties, faculty members, administrative officers, college principals, representatives of social and political organizations, teachers from private schools, members of the Press Club, and students from the University of Gwadar, colleges, and various schools. The seminar was regarded as an important step towards strengthening collaboration among educational institutions, social leaders, and the wider community, while creating opportunities for youth guidance, purposeful education, and positive social change.
