The 6th meeting of the Board of Studies (BoS) of the Department of Computer Science, University of Gwadar, was held at the Pak-China Technical & Vocational Institute, University of Gwadar, under the chairmanship of Mr. Hafeezullah, Chairperson Department of Computer Science, University of Gwadar. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohibullah, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology; Dr. Rabia Aslam, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell, University of Gwadar; Dr. Rashid, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science, University of Turbat; Mr. Syed Ahmed Khan, Lecturer at National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES-FAST Karachi); Mr. Shayhaq Ali, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science, University of Gwadar; and Ms. Haim Gul Munir, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science, University of Gwadar. The Board thoroughly deliberated upon and approved ten agenda items. With the prior approval of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, University of Gwadar, the Board approved two significant initiatives: Initiation of the process of establishment a dedicated laboratory for AI research and development, named the Artificial Intelligence and Data Innovation Lab (AIDIL), and the launch of a 10-month AI training program titled the Gwadar AI Literacy Initiative (GAIL). Other major agenda items included the approval of updated course catalogs and laboratory manuals for undergraduate computing programs, guidelines for theory and laboratory subject evaluations, Final Year Project (FYP) guidelines, and the FYP Handbook. The Chairperson thanked and acknowledged the commitment and constructive contributions of all members toward advancing the academic and technological vision of the University of Gwadar.
