Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, met with the university’s football and cricket players who demonstrated exceptional performance in the Inter-University Sports Festival 2025, organized by the Sports Department of Balochistan. On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the players’ remarkable performance, discipline, teamwork, and dedication, stating that these young athletes are the true ambassadors of the University of Gwadar who have brought honor to the institution across the province. The festival, organized by the Sports Department of Balochistan in Quetta, marked the first participation of the University of Gwadar, where it achieved an impressive standing at the provincial level. The university’s football team reached the final and secured the runner-up trophy, while the cricket team also delivered an excellent performance in its debut victory. Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir remarked that the players set an exemplary standard of discipline, unity, and determination. He added that these achievements are a source of pride not only for the University of Gwadar but also for the youth of the entire Makran Division. “We will continue to utilize all available resources to promote sports activities at our university,” he stated. The Vice Chancellor also commended the efforts of the Director of Sports, Mr. Sagheer Naseem, the coaching staff, and team management, noting that the players’ success reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a positive academic and extracurricular environment.
