University of Gwadar Holds Second Departmental Accounts Committee Meeting in Quetta.

The second meeting of the Departmental Accounts Committee (DAC) of the University of Gwadar was held on 20th January 2026 in the conference room of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan Regional Centre, Quetta, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir.
The meeting was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed, Registrar Dr. Daulat Khan, Director Finance Rahmatullah, Director Audit Balochistan Syed Muhammad Qadeem, Audit Officer Mohib-ul-Mehdi, Mr.Naqeebullah, and Internal Auditor of the University of Gwadar Ghulam Fareed.
During the meeting, the audit paras for the financial year 2024–25 were discussed in detail. Most of the paras were settled to the satisfaction of the committee following explanations provided by the Pro Vice Chancellor and the Director of Finance. A few paras were recommended to be re-presented in the next meeting for further clarification or to obtain approval from the relevant forums. In addition, several audit paras pertaining to the financial years 2022–23 and 2023–24 were also resolved.
The meeting also featured a detailed discussion on financial controls, audit procedures, and accountability mechanisms, reflecting the University’s continued efforts to strengthen transparency and financial discipline. The head of the audit team, Director of Audit, appreciated the performance of the University of Gwadar’s project and accounts team, stating that no major financial irregularities or mismanagement were identified during the three-year audit period, which is a positive and commendable achievement.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir lauded the cooperation of the audit team and the professional performance of the University’s project and accounts team. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to effective financial management, strong governance, and transparent accountability, emphasizing that these principles will continue to guide the institution in achieving its academic and administrative objectives efficiently.
